HONORARY PATRONAGE/PATRONAT HONOROWY AKADEMII MŁODYCH UCZONYCH POLSKIEJ AKADEMII NAUK

Polish Young Academy (PYA) was established in 2010 under the Act of April 30th on the Polish Academy of Sciences. Members of PYA are selected by recognized scientists among young researchers distinguished by outstanding scientific achievements. PYA members include individuals working at universities, institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences, research institutes, and other research organizations in Poland. The activities of PYA include, among others: providing opinions, making appeals, issuing positions on matters related to science and important for science, organizing debates, discussions, and scientific conferences, popularizing science, promoting ethical standards among young scientists. PYA also operates on the international stage: it is a member of the European National Young Academies network, chairs the Young Academies Science Advice Structure network, which is part of the European scientific policy advice mechanism, and collaborates with other Young Academies on issues such as science policy and the dialogue between science and society.

Rada Młodych Naukowców – The Young Scientists Council is an advisory body to the Minister of Science and Higher Education. Its task is to support the achievements of young researchers. The Council’s tasks include: identifying existing and future barriers to the development of young scientists’ careers, preparing recommendations regarding instruments supporting the careers of young scientists; introducing young scientists to the mechanisms of financing science; supporting contacts between young scientists and representatives of economic environments and institutions implementing innovative solutions in science; implementing the provisions of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers in Scientific Units.

The French Institute in Poland and the Campus France agency run scholarship programs of the French government (Bourse France Excellence) and support cooperation between institutions, in particular the development and promotion of French-Polish double diplomas. In cooperation with the Campus France correspondent network, they organize Campus France Days annually throughout Poland, i.e. meetings and presentations for students and high school students on building an educational path and career with the French language. In addition, they also organize and co-organize seminars and scientific conferences that facilitate exchange between Polish and French scientists.

Polish Women Scientists Network – The idea of is to create the first network in Poland connecting female scientists and Polish scholars. The KobietyNauki.org portal and the Polish Women Scientists Network fan page on Facebook are intended to be the virtual spaces to can share thee experiences and establish connections, hoping that this will enable to develop cooperation in various areas, inspire each other, and also seek partners for joint scientific projects.

The eDoktorant scientific platform is a tool for the exchange of knowledge and experiences among doctoral students, students, and science enthusiasts. The platform allows for finding information about scientific conferences, grant competitions, training programs, and research internships. This is the first platform in Poland created by doctoral students for doctoral students and students in their final years of studies.
